Our Story
In 2019, a local business owner struggled to break into their market and found themselves in a deficit. After reaching out to local services for advice, the owner still felt trapped. Soon after, local agencies began reaching out, assuring they could help. Already in a deficit and seeking assistance, the owner complied. However, after months of waiting, no true value was added. Not long after, the business had to close its doors.
This story is all too common for many business owners. Around the same time, managing member Giovanny Zavala reached out to a local Mom & Pop shop. Soon after, Giovanny found himself restructuring the business and conducting a market analysis using data he had collected. He effectively added value and saved the company from further deficit. Upon hearing the first story, Giovanny decided to dedicate much of his time to saving local businesses through business development and appropriate marketing strategies.
When Giovanny decided to start a business of his own, he soon realized that while many resources are available, few people know where to find or how to use them. To address this gap, Giovanny helped create Riverside Consulting Group to assist aspiring entrepreneurs and local businesses in competing in an ever-changing marketplace.
In 2024, Riverside Consulting Group decided to focus on local economic development by helping local entrepreneurs and business owners start, stabilize, or add value to their businesses as a way to create jobs and remain competitive in the marketplace.
